Ian Sampson says he is pleased to have some selection issues to deal with ahead of Saturday's trip to Port Vale.

"We have got a decent sized squad to choose from and the only players unavailable through injury are Chris Dunn, Steve Guinan and Andy Holt," he said.

"Chris is progressing well, he has got full range movement back in his leg and I think he'll be starting some kicking fairly soon. It was a fairly routine operation and hopefully he will be back in about three weeks.

"With Steve I'm a bit more uncertain, he has now got a pocket of fluid round where he had the hernia so that needs to be dispersed before he can resume training.

"Ryan Gilligan and Kevin Thornton are both back from suspension which is good and having them both available for selection certainly gives me food for thought. Luke Guttridge is also available

"It's a big pitch at Port Vale so we may change things around a little bit but it will be nice to have some options on the bench.

"My mind isn't made up at the moment though and I have certainly got a few things to think about before I pick the team for Saturday."
