Soldiers are a proud bunch. It takes a lot for them to ask for help, but sometimes the need is so great they simply cannot manage on bravery alone.

How do the ABF help? Each year half the money they raise goes to individuals for such things as wheelchair for a soldiers disabled son, a stair lift for an injured soldier or a much needed holiday for a War Widow. The rest they give to smaller charities such as British Limbless ex-servicemen's asc, Combat stress and the like.

This year we are asking for your support.
14 of our local Territorial Army from 118 Recovery Unit in Northampton are presently serving in Afghanistan.
1st Bn Royal Anglian Reg are on standby to go there again and in fact have a company there now.
The 2nd Bn are in training to go again.

So more than ever your help is needed. You will see collecting boxes around the ground on Saturday and wrist bands will also be on sale, please help us to help others.

We hope some of the soldiers will walk around the pitch at half time and we would welcome your appreciation of what they have and are doing.
