Ian Sampson will check on the fitness of one or two of his squad who picked up bumps and bruises at Macclesfield on Wednesday as he prepares his squad to face Chesterfield at Sixfields on Saturday.

"The team is doing really well at the moment and I don't see me making too many more additions to the squad before the transfer window is out, if any," he said.

"The players who are playing in central defence at the moment are doing very well and maybe bringing in Luke Wilkinson (pictured) has been the kick up the backside they needed.

"Luke's loan is up on February 2nd and you never know what is going to happen between now and then.

"Luke is part of our squad and if we think we need to extend his loan then we will look at doing that.

"Stephen O'Flynn is a big strong lad and he has got a good touch on him. He got in behind Macclesfield when he came on and it was just a shame he couldn't cap his cameo performance with a goal.

"I think the fans will like him but at the moment he has got his work cut out to try and get into the team."
