The British Universities American Football League is to move to a new home venue in 2010.

Sixfields will play host to the top teams from the Northern and Southern Conferences in the climax to the 2009-10 BUAFL National Championships.

"We are very pleased that Sixfields will serve as the venue for the Championship's pinnacle event," says Andy Fuller, BAFA Director for Student Football Development.

"We believe this venue offers the players and fans a great gameday experience and reflects the growing stature of our Championship Game."

Fuller continued "It is my hope that this event proves a tremendous success and that the BUAFL can call the Sixfields Stadium home for many seasons to come!"

Avril Spraggon, Stadium Manager at Northampton Town welcomed the agreement "We are delighted and honoured to welcome the BUAFL to Sixfields," she said.

"We are determined to give them the venue that is fitting for their BUAFL National Championship game and we hope this will be the start of a long and successful partnership."

The BUAFL National Championship Game will kick-off at 4pm on Sunday May 9th 2010.
