TWO MORE GAMES REARRANGED
Northampton Town Football Club have applied to switch two of their Coca-Cola League 2 home fixtures to a Friday night.
Barnet will visit Sixfields on Friday 4 September while the Cobblers will play host to Aldershot Town on Friday 12 February. Both games will kick-off at 7.45pm.
The Barnet game has been moved to avoid a clash with an England friendly on Saturday 5 September while the game with Aldershot, originally scheduled for Saturday 13 February, has been brought forward to a void a home clash with the Saints.
The club on Thursday confirmed that the away game against Grimsby Town had also been moved forward a day to Friday 2 April, kick-off 7.45pm.
These changes are provisional and have been submitted to the Football League and when the club has received their approval we will make a further announcement.
* The Football League have meanwhile confirmed that the draw for the first round of this seasons Johnstone's Paint Trophy will be made on Saturday 15 August, live on Sky Sports Soccer AM programme.
The Cobblers chances of receiving a bye into the second round have been increased however with the Football League ruling that the 16 teams who were handed a bye last season will have to enter the competition at the first round stage.
