Northampton Town Football Club have joined forces with Northants Cricket to present a 2009 Golf Challenge to be held at Collingtree Park Golf Club on Monday 7th September.

The event, which is the first of a major link up between the town's teams in the national summer and winter sports, will allow supporters and sponsors the chance to represent their chosen club in the tournament and play alongside players and personnel from both the Cobblers and the Steelbacks.

This Ryder Cup style tournament promises to be a mixture of fun, tension and excitement with the teams playing for both points and pride.

All matches will include either a past player from one of the clubs or a sporting celebrity simply eager to join in the fun of the day.

When the golf has been completed, the gala evening will take place. Attended by a cast of sporting heroes, this evening will be of the highest entertainment and fun for all involved.
