FRESH LOOK TO SQUAD SHOULD HELP SEASON TICKETS

Posted on: Wed 27 May 2009

Cobblers Chairman David Cardoza believes the excitement of a summer of some new faces at Sixfields will play a major part in getting season ticket holders signed up for the 2009/10 campaign. That work started with the arrival of Steve Guinan on Tuesday, and more new faces are expected to follow.

The Chairman says he is happy with where season ticket sales are at the moment and they are keeping pace with his expectations.

"On one hand you've got to consider the disappointments of last season and the current economic climate," he said.

"But you then have to think about what next season should hold in terms of entertainment and excitement, of course we are aiming for promotion, and I know Stuart wants the players to be playing some positive, attacking football.

"The thing that really gets people excited and interested are new signings.

"Some of the new signings possibly may not be known until at least when the players come back for pre-season, maybe even later, but some will be before then and when new players arrive, as Steve Guinan did on Tuesday, then it starts to whet the appetite."

Until 4pm on Friday, adult discounted season tickets are priced from just £250 (that's around £10 per game) while under 7s qualify for a free-season ticket.

Supporters can contact the Box Office in person or by calling 01604 683777. 2008/2009 season ticket holders are also reminded that their seats are only reserved until 4pm on Friday.
