After adding two strikers to his squad lastw eek, Cobblers boss Stuart Gray admits he might now have to look at the other end of the field with Chris Doig a doubt for the visit of Swindon Town. In addition, injury has forced the cancellation of Carl Magnay's loan and he has returned to Chelsea.

"Chris Doig is struggling with his Achillies tendon and Bayo is still suffering the effects of his migraine," said the Cobblers boss.

"I think Bayo is feeling slightly better, he didn't train on Monday but fingers crossed he will be okay for Tuesday night.

"If Chris is unavailable then Jason Crowe can slot in there as he did on Saturday. Jason's got pace, his reading of the game is excellent and he has got great awareness.

"A scan has shown that Carl Magnay has got a stress fracture in his back so he has gone back to Chelsea and won't play again this season.

"I signed two strikers on loan last week but having now lost Chris and Carl I might have to look at bringing in a defender before the loan deadline.

"Ryan Gilligan has had an operation on his knee and he's now back doing some straight line running. He won't be in my thoughts for at least two to three weeks but if he suffers no reaction to that then hopefully he will come into contention for the final run-in."
