Stuart Gray says that the Cobblers are likely to be without loan defender Carl Magnay for the visit of Stockport County on Saturday, but new signing Aleksandar Prijovic is available - and of course Adebayo Akinfenwa (pictured) returns from suspension.

"Aleksandar has got every chance of being involved on Saturday and with Bayo back as well it's like having two new signings," said the Cobblers boss.

"Aleks scored for the reserves on Wednesday and at the end of the day strikers are paid to score goals. He hasn't played much football but I was impressed when I saw him play for Yeovil and he is definitely a bright prospect.

"He has shown us in training that he is a goalscorer and hopefully he can do a similar job to what Simon Cox did for us. He has got a big physical presence but he can play as well so fingers crossed things will work out for both Aleks and ourselves.

"We've managed to sort out Bayo's little aches and pains in the time he's been out so he will come back refreshed and fingers crossed he will hit the ground running on Saturday.

"Carl Magnay is having a scan at Chelsea on a back injury he picked up against Peterborough so he is unlikely to be fit and Ryan Gilligan has had knee surgery so he is definitely unavailable. Apart from those two though I've got a fully fit squad to choose from."
