Welcome to the 1st Yardley Gobion Cub Scouts who are here on Saturday. They will be attending with children aged from 8-10½. They are based at Yardley Gobion and play football & rugby. They are led by Matt Law and the group contains 25 children.

Redwell School

Welcome to Redwell Junior School who are attending with pupils aged 8, 9, 10 and 11 years of age (years 3 -6). The school is based in Wellingborough and they are very successful in football, futsal, basketball, table tennis, chess, cricket and have just started playing tag rugby. Their headteacher is Mr Nigel Riches and there are 240 pupils at the school aged from 7-11 years old.
Some of their children have season tickets to watch the Cobblers play whilst some of their children play for the NTFC under 9's and under 10's team. A recent survey of children at the school showed that about 10% of the children support the Cobblers with other children supporting one of the Premier League clubs. Only a handful of children admitted they support Rushden and Diamonds! Their head teacher's brother is Steve Riches, who writes a column in the Northampton Chronicle and Echo. One of their teachers and football manager, Mr Ian Tompkins, also works for NTFC on match days as a stand supervisor!
They are the current under 11 boys football champions for Wellingborough and East Northants and will represent their district in the county finals on Tuesday. If successful, they will represent the county at the National competition to be held later in the year - Good luck!
