Northampton Town have signed Wolves defender Mark Little on a short term loan up to and including the Huddersfield Town game on September 20th, with a view to extending his stay further.

Little returns to the club after a successful spell at Sixfields last season.

A product of the Wolves Academy system, Mark played a major role as their youth side made it through to the last four of the FA Youth Cup in 2004/5. He has been capped by England at under 17, 18 and 19 levels.

6ft 1in Mark signed a three year professional contract at Molineux a couple of years ago.

The Worcester-born defender was already on the fringe of a first team breakthrough at Molineux, and had made five appearances as an unused substitute by the time the 2005/6 season neared its conclusion.

The youngster came into his own during the following campaign, establishing himself as a first team player.

Mark, who turned 20 earlier this week, has made 32 senior appearances for Wolves and played 17 times for the Cobblers last season. He is available to face Millwall at Sixfields on Saturday and will wear squad number 16.
