Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray is hopeful that having come through 45 minutes in a behind closed doors friendly in mid-week striker Adebayo Akinfenwa will line up against Cheltenham on Saturday.

"Bayo played 45 minutes in a behind closed doors friendly against QPR this week and fingers crossed he hasn't suffered any reaction to that," said the Cobblers boss.

"Bayo and Leon Constantine haven't played up front together yet but I was pleased to see Bayo come through the 45 minutes on Tuesday and he's got a good chance of playing against Cheltenham.

"Abdul Osman is suspended and Giles Coke is very doubtful but apart from that everybody else is okay.

"Giles has got a grade 2 sprained ankle but it isn't too bad and he should be okay for either the game against Millwall or the game at MK Dons.

"Danny Jackman has trained okay all week and a lot of the boys who played in the game at QPR just needed their fitness topping up a bit and Luke Guttridge will have benefited from the 75 minutes he played in that game."
