Pete, the Conwy Cobbler, recently ventured to Gdansk in Poland, home of Lechia Gdansk, for the wedding celebrations of some close friends. Two days and nights of eating, drinking and dancing......And also some sight seeing too. Football unfortunately - no! The Poles had just been knocked out of Euro 2008 so the mood was a little sombre to say the least. However during the vacation Pete was able to take a trip to the stadium in Gdansk with the groom. He proudly walked up the track past the club shop wearing his Claret and White into the top levels of the typically European concreted stadium.

This wasn't the end of his Northampton Town connections during the holiday period. Pete flew back to home and then on to Belfast to see Kylie Minogue in concert. On the way home they had just stepped into a busy Belfast City Airport and they spotted Ian Sampson sitting having a quiet cuppa on his way back home after a coaching course. Sammo spotted that Pete was wearing his Cobblers jacket, got up from his seat and had a quick chat. Later before Sammo boarded his plane bound for East Midlands he took a couple of seconds out for a photo opportunity. Pete would like to thank Sammo for his time.
