LITTLE PLEASED TO SIGN OFF WITH A WIN
Mark Little admitted he was pleased to end his loan spell at Sixfields with a victory. The Wolves loanee, who has now returned to Molineux, only tasted defeat three times in his 17 games in a claret shirt, and he was glad to sign off with another victory.
"It was a good result for us and it was nice for me personally to sign off with a win," he said.
"I've really enjoyed my time here but my aim now is to try and help Wolves push for promotion.
"It's been nice to play first team football on a regular basis and it is great for me to be going back to Wolves fully match fit.
"All the lads at Northampton have been great and I've thoroughly enjoyed every second of my time here.
"I'd like to thank Stuart Gray for giving me the opportunity to come here and play and I wish all the lads the very best for the rest of the season.
"It was a difficult game on Saturday, for some reason it took us about 20 minutes to really get going and although we dominated certain spells of the game we were under the cosh at times as well, especially in the second half.
"The conditions played their part in the second half and in the end it was a good job we had a two goal lead to protect.
"It would have been nice for us to keep a clean sheet but we battled hard and that's what you have to do a lot of the time to win games.
"Mark Bunn was fantastic and in the end we were just happy to get the three points.
"After the recent run we've had we needed to get back to winning ways and hopefully this will be the start of another good run of results that can maybe push the team on into the play-offs."
