Danny Jackman feels that the Cobblers win over Swansea City on Saturday was a measure of the recent progress made.

"It was a great win for us on Saturday and to beat the team top of the league just shows how far we have come this season," he said.

"Our home form has been good over the past few months and long may that continue, we want to make this place a fortress.

"There is normally a team every season that comes up on the rails to get into the play-offs and I don't see why that can't be us.

"We didn't do very well at Swansea earlier in the season and I think that helped to spur us on. We really attacked them in the first twenty minutes and I think overall we thoroughly deserved the win.

"We were all hurting after that game at Swansea and the only way we could put that right was by getting a result on Saturday.

"We are on a great run at the minute and there are probably several reasons for that, we are starting to score goals when we're on top in games and the defence have been superb.

"At 3-1 up at half-time we knew that the next goal would be crucial. Thankfully we got it and that really settled us down. We knew that there would be patches in the game where they'd be on top but I think we weathered those spells pretty well.

"I was pleased with my goal but ultimately the fact that we won the game was much more important.

"We know that we've still got a lot of hard work to do this season but the manager has set us a target of four points from every two games and hopefully we are on track for that."
