Danny Jackman felt that the Cobblers deserved to beat Crewe Alexandra last weekend, but says there are still plenty of positives to focus on.

"It didn't quite happen for us last Saturday but I think the disappointment of the lads after the game showed how far we have come this season," he said.

"It felt like a defeat on Saturday because we felt we had the chances to win the game but we got a point and hopefully we'll add to that with a good result at Walsall this Saturday.

"We've got some tough games coming up at home against the likes of Swansea and Nottingham Forest but they will be great tests for us.

"We've got 11 games to go still this season and we are still aiming to be there or thereabouts the top six come May.

"Mark Bunn has been fantastic for us all season and he has consistently pulled off some great saves at vital times. He made a great save at the end of the game at Hartlepool and he was there again for us when we needed him on Saturday.

"The Gaffer has put me in midfield this season, it's a new position for me but I am really enjoying playing in there. I love being involved more and I love helping the team tick and getting forward and creating chances.

"A lot of things have changed since we played Walsall a few times before Christmas but we definitely felt that  we deserved a result in the FA Cup replay there and we will be going there on Saturday to try and win the game.

"They are on a great run and have done very well this season but so have we and it should be a good game."
