COKE ENJOYING HIS FOOTBALL

Posted on: Tue 19 Feb 2008

Giles Coke admits he is really enjoying his football at the moment, and scoring twice since returning from injury has been a big boost for the former Mansfield Town midfielder.

"I think the boys did really well on Saturday after what was quite a poor game at Yeovil," he said.

"We just didn't perform at Yeovil so it was important that we bounced back from that on Saturday.

"It was nice for me personally to get on the scoresheet but ultimately it's a team game and I thought as a team we performed really well.

"Danny Jackman is naturally a left-back but he's done very well since he's moved into the midfield and you have to give him a lot of credit to him for the way he has adapted to that.

"Bayo has done really well for us, he holds the ball up well and you know what you are going to get from him. He's really strong and I was really pleased for him that he got another two goals on Saturday.

"Poul Hubertz probably should have got on the scoresheet as well but he put in another great performance for the team and if he keeps working hard I'm sure the goals will come for him.

"I'm really enjoying myself at the minute and I just can't wait for every game to come round. I still want to improve my fitness a bit more but I was just so glad we got the result we did on Saturday and we are now looking forward to Hartlepool on Friday night.

"I think anyone can beat anyone in this league but we are just taking each game as it comes at the moment and if we can get ourselves on another unbeaten run who knows where we can go.

"It's going to be a tough game at Hartlepool but we know what we did wrong at Yeovil so hopefully we will put that right."
