Liam Dolman admitted that the Cobblers performance at Elland Road on Saturday was short of the standard the team had set themselves.

"We were obviously all very disappointed with the result but we just weren't good enough on the day," he said.

"Every game is hard but we know that we need to start picking up more points away from home.

"We were missing a couple of players on Saturday but I don't think we can really use that as an excuse, we've got a good squad here and everyone is capable of performing.

"Unfortunately on Saturday as an eleven none of us really performed to the standard that we can and that's why we lost the game.

"The fans gave us great support on Saturday but unfortunately we couldn't reward them with a result. They have been behind us all season and hopefully we can now get three points for them against Hartlepool on Saturday."
