MIXED FEELINGS FOR BOWDITCH
Dean Bowditch was delighted to put the Cobblers ahead against Millwall on New Year's Day, but admitted the post match dressing room mood was one of disappointment after the Lions conjured up a last minute leveller.
"The lads were gutted because we felt we deserved to win but in the second half we did not pass the ball as well as we could," he said.
"It was an unfortunate goal to concede but now we have to lift ourselves up and get ready for Leeds.
"I think Poul Hubertz was unlucky to be sent off and he was very disappointed. He will miss three games but it is up to me and Andy Kirk and the rest of the lads to cover Poul. We have Leeds on Saturday and they are not in the best of form at the moment so maybe we can go there and pull off a shock.
"It was a good move for our goal. We broke well from defence. Danny Jackman did well to deliver the cross and Jason Crowe cut the ball back well to give me a tap in. It was an excellent team move.
"Leeds on Saturday will be a great game for us. I have played in front of crowds like that a few times before and we know we have to stand up and be counted and handle the hostile crowd."
