Jason Crowe was delighted to score the winning goal to scure three priceless points for the Cobblers at Huddersfield on Saturday.

"It was an important win for us on Saturday and we showed in the second half that the togetherness is there and that we can play some good stuff," he said.

"I think even in the first half we were probably the better side and in the end we were probably a bit disappointed that we didn't win the game by a bigger margin.

"We didn't play particularly well at Doncaster but we showed a great reaction to that on Saturday.

"We know that we need to be more consistent and we need to put in more performances like we did against Huddersfield on a more regular basis.

"We've got a lot of young players in the team that are still learning their trade but I can't really put my finger on why we are so inconsistent.

"We are still looking for a play-off spot and hopefully the win at Huddersfield will kick us on again.

"Getting into the top six is obviously a lot easier said than done but if we can keep our home form going and get the odd result on the road who knows what can happen.

"The manager likes to play me wherever he can and to be honest I'm just happy to be playing.

"I just enjoy playing football and if I'm in the team I'm happy."
