Bradley Johnson felt the third Cobblers goal was a big moment in Friday's 4-1 win over Bournemouth.

"We knew that whoever scored first in the second half would probably go on and win the game and thankfully we got the goal and I think after that we killed the game off well," he said.

"Poul Hubertz played the ball to me nicely for my goal and I struck it quite sweetly with my left foot and thankfully it went in.

"Bournemouth had a chance at 3-1 to score a goal but I think we defended well in the second half and we went on to score a fourth goal ourselves.

"Jason Crowe is very experienced and with Joe Burnell sitting in there I think we all share the work load round well between us.

"We've shown against Forest and Carlisle that we can compete against the top teams and hopefully now on the back of the win against Bournemouth we can really start to push up the table."
