JONES KEEN TO BUILD ON FOREST DISPLAY
Daniel Jones was thrilled with Saturday's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest, and he knows the importance of following that result up with a good display against AFC Bournemouth at Sixfields on Friday.
"I was absolutely delighted to score on Saturday and it was my first goal ever in league football," he said.
"I think it went in after hitting the post and taking a deflection of their keeper but they all count and I don't mind how they go in.
"I think we did ever so well to get ourselves in front after going a goal down but we were disappointed to be done by a set play so late on. I think it was just a lapse of concentration but we need to learn how to kill teams off.
"We showed against Carlisle that we are capable of competing with the top teams in this league and I think in the last couple of games we have really started to knock the ball about quite nicely.
"Our fans were great at Forest and you could hear them above the home fans.
"We were gutted to concede a late goal on Saturday but overall the confidence amongst the lads is quite high.
"We know that we need to put a run of results together and hopefully we can now get a win against Bournemouth on Friday."
