Cobblers defender Jason Crowe wants to turn Sixfields into a place teams fear coming to.

"Our home form wasn't great last season but we want to try and make Sixfields a mini fortress," he said.

"The fans can help us do that and if they get right behind us that will really help.

"It is going to be a tough game against Yeovil on Saturday but it's not about them, it's about us.

"We want to bounce back from what happened at Brighton and we desperately want to put on a performance and get three points.

"We drew with Yeovil twice last season and I think it will be a close game again on Saturday with us hopefully coming out on top.

"It was a very physical game at Brighton last week.

"We responded well to conceding an early penalty and after that I think we played some really good football at times. We got a good goal back and created a lot of opportunities and maybe we should have converted because sometimes when you don't convert those chances it comes back to haunt you and in the second half it did.

"We have watched the video of the game and fro 15 minutes in the second half we still played some lovely stuff but when elbows started flying that disrupted our play. For some reason we just didn't play after that and it was a disappointing result for us.

"Andy Kirk is in great form at the moment, he has put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes in training and he has thoroughly deserved his rewards for that.

"I was always happy to sign my new contract here and I am just looking forward to the rest of the season.

"We have changed our formation this season to a 4-4-2 after playing a 3-5-2 for quite along time but I think the players have adapted pretty well to that.

"We had a good pre-season, we got some good training and two good games under our belt over in Ibiza and that was a good bonding trip for the new lads as well.

"The Championship sides we played here at Sixfields gave us a good footballing lesson at times but we took some positives from those games and we have started the season well.

"We are all looking forward to the game up at Middlesbrough next week; obviously we will go into that game as underdogs but in the cup you never know what might happen on the night."
