CROWE RARING TO GO
Defender Jason Crowe is pleased to have put the summer of speculation behind him and is raring to go for the new season.
"I was delighted to sign my new contract in the summer and I am really happy to be here for at least another two years," he said.
"I think it is an exciting time for this football club, we know that we have got a bit of a limited squad in terms of numbers but there have been some good signs in training that we are gelling together well as a team.
"We want to get off to a good start to the season and then hopefully we can just take things from there.
"Stuart Gray is an ambitious guy and I think you have got to have that ambition in order to be successful. Automatic promotion might be beyond us but there is no reason why we can't aim for a place in the play offs.
"We had some great results in the latter part of last season and that was in part due to a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
"I was reasonably happy with my own form last season, I think I am a fairly consistent player and hopefully I can carry that on this season.
"I think we are going to start off playing a 4-4-2 and then if things need to change around then we will do that.
"I love going forward and if I could chip in with the odd goal this season that would be great. I always go into a season aiming to get one or two goals but that could be a bit more difficult playing as a full-back rather than as a wing-back."
