Striker Poul Hubertz does not want to waste any time in making is mark at Sixfields.

"I have only just arrived here really but I enjoyed the 45 minutes I got in the game at Rushden on Saturday," he said.

"I need to get my fitness upto one hundred per cent but hopefully that shouldn't take too long.

"We want to get off to a good start to this season and then we can just take things from there.

"Before I went to Millwall last summer I had been playing in Denmark my whole career. I enjoyed my year at Millwall but I wasn't in the manager's first team for this season so I made the decision to try and find a new team.

"When Northampton came in for me I was delighted to sign for them and I am really looking forward to playing some football here.

"English football is much bigger than Danish football and it has always been a dream of mine to play in another league so I saw no reason not to come over and sign for Millwall.

"You see some good football played in the Danish league but football is much bigger over here.

"Football is tough over here at times but I love every minute of it.

"Just because I'm tall I don't just want to be seen as a target man, I'd like to think that I can play a bit as well.

"I think we have got a good squad here and my aim is just to try and get into the starting eleven for every game.

"I haven't really set myself a specific goal target but If I could get 15 that would be great.

"I think we played some good football at Rushden on Saturday, I know sometimes we will need to battle but if we can play the ball on the ground as much as possible I think we will do well.

"I want to be in the starting eleven but if I don't score the goals as long as we are winning everybody will be happy."
