New Northampton Town loan signing Daniel Jones admitted the chance to work with Stuart Gray again was one he could not turn down.

"I was training at Wolves on Monday and the Gaffer asked me how I would feel about going out on loan and working with Stuart Gray again and I said I'd love to," he recalled.

"I enjoyed working with Stuart at Wolves and to have the chance to play some regular first team football and gain some more experience was an opportunity I couldn't pass up on.

"I like to get past people and I like putting crosses into the box. When I get the chance I like to shoot and hopefully I'll score a few goals during my time here as well.

"I think I'm fairly quick but I don't want to big myself up, I'll hopefully just let my football do the talking.

"I've only been here a couple of days but the lads have been great, they seem like a good bunch and I have gelled in really well.

"When I played for Wolves in the friendly on Tuesday I was really impressed with the set up here. It's a nice stadium and I just can't wait for the season to start.

"I am looking forward to training with the lads this week and then hopefully If I've done well enough in training I will get picked for Saturday.

"We saw at Rushden that there are some good players here who can knock the ball about well and I think we can have a good season."
