The paperwork is complete, the medical has been passed and Northampton Town have completed the signing of Millwall striker Poul Hubertz on an initial 12 month contract.

The 6ft 5in, 30 year old joined the Lions last summer after impressing on trial. He had previously played for Danish Superliga clubs Herfølge BK and AaB.

In his first season in English football, he scored 10 goals for the Lions from just 15 starts, with a further 23 appearances from the substitutes bench.

Poul was something of a cult figure with the Millwall fans, and he has already scored at Sixfields, although the goal won't be recorded in any record books, as it was the only goal of the abandoned game on December 30 2006.

Poul is free to make his home debut against Swindon Town on Saturday.
