A busy first day of business has been reported at the Sixfields Box Office as the club put tickets on sale for all Coca-Cola League One home games on Thursday.

More than 500 tickets were sold across the 23 games (a first day record) while more than 100 tickets were sold for the 3 pre-season home games, with the opening day league clash with Swindon Town and the visit of Leeds United in February proving particularly popular.

The club also received a flurry of season ticket applications, as Customer Service Manager Paula Kane explained following the 8pm closing.

"It has been a very busy but very encouraging first day of league match sales," she said.

"We have sold tickets for every home game, but in particular we have been busy with the Swindon and Leeds games.

"Many supporters who have not purchased a season ticket have already come in and purchased their ticket for all of the games they can attend, while we have also seen a rise in the number of season ticket applications received. They have kept coming in throughout the summer but the rate of season ticket sales has picked up in the last few days.

"The late night opening on Thursday has also been a success, and we hope that the current rate of sales of both season and match tickets continue as we get nearer to the start of the season.

"We have had some interest in the Cash Back scheme, and overall it has been a very good start to the season as far as ticket sales are concerned."

To purchase, supporters can call 0870 822 1966, email box.office@ntfc.tv or visit the Box Office which is open from 10am to 5pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, and from noon until 8pm on Thursdays. On-line sales will begin shortly.

Sales are also continuing for the pre-season home games, against Coventry City on July 21, West Brom on July 25 and Wolves on July 31.
