GRAY WAITING ON CROWE AND DOIG
Cobblers boss Stuart Gray is resigned to being without Brett Johnson for a couple of weeks, but rates both Jason Crowe and Chris Doig as 50:50 for Saturday's clash with Chesterfield at Sixfields.
Johnson, Crowe and Andy Holt all dropped out of the game at Blackpool as the afternoon went on, joining Chris Doig and Bradley Johnson on the sidelines.
"We will have to see how they are as the week goes on but the most serious of the injuries from last weekend is Brett Johnson," he said.
"We think Brett will be out for a couple of weeks and that is unfortunate.
"On the plus side, we will have Bradley Johnson back and we hope that Andy Holt will have recovered from the virus that affected him on Saturday.
"Jason Crowe's injury is not as bad as Brett, but you have to be careful with hamstrings. We will have to wait and see how he is but at the moment I would say 50:50 is a fair assessment.
"We are also hoping that Chris Doig will be fit but again it depends how he goes this week. He is another one who we would say is 50:50 and no decisions will be taken on Chris or Jason until as late as possible."
