MULTI-DISABLED TEAM GO TO MANCHESTER
Russell Lewis and Kevin Rootes took Northampton Town's Multi Disabled Championship team to Manchester recently where they competed in the National Finals. The team had qualified for the National Finals by winning the East Midland Regional League.
In Manchester Northampton were in the Group of Death alongside Brighton, Plymouth and Belle Vue Boyyz. Northampton played Brighton first and lost 1-0, before taking on Plymouth and being beaten 3-0. In the final game against Belle Vue they won 2-0. Although the team were disappointed in coming third they gave a good account of themselves and it made all the players realise the standard of play at the National Finals.
Brighton and Plymouth reached the final with Brighton winning 1-0.
