COBBLERS APPOINT NEW MULTI DISABLED OFFICER
KARL WHITE; AN INTRODUCTION
My name is Karl White and I have recently been appointed the Disability Community Coach for Northampton Town FC.
Prior to me being appointed to this role I worked for Russell Lewis as part of the community scheme at NTFC, I have also coached football in America for United Soccer Academy for a six month period.
The main purpose of my role will be to provide coaching sessions for special schools and day centres in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, although I will still be carrying out coaching work for Northampton Town FC's football in the community programme
There are several different organisations that fund my post and they include Northamptonshire sport, Northants FA, Northampton Town's multi-disabled team and the Football in the Community programme.
At Northampton Town we have a big multi disabled club which caters for anyone from those with mild autism or moderate learning difficulties to those with Down's Syndrome, Aspergers and more severe learning difficulties. We are always looking for players to join us who may want to play and don't have the opportunities elsewhere.
