Stuart Gray made two changes to the Northampton Town side that travelled to meet Yeovil Town at Huish Park. Gabor Gyepes made his first appearance for the club, while Giles Coke returned to the side. Making way were Jonathan Hayes and Joe Burnell.
The Cobblers suffered an early injury worry when Giles Coke had to leave the field after being the victim of a high boot, but after treatment from physio Stuart Barker he was able to continue.
Former Northampton Town striker Andy Kirk fed a ball through to Lloyd Owusu on 13 minutes, but the Yeovil man sent a shot wide of the far post. At the other end, Danny Jackman fired over the bar from the edge of the area.
Ryan Gilligan was close to giving the Cobblers the lead after 20 minutes. Mark Little's cross had been half headed away, but only as far as the Cobblers striker. His right footed shot from 15 yards had beaten keeper Scott Flinders, but Scott Guyett was in the right place to head the ball off the line.
Mark Bunn went down well to save a snap shot from Kirk after 33 minutes, while a couple of minutes later the Cobblers keeper had to parry away a drive from the edge of the area from Liam Bridcutt.
Mark Little was booked two minutes before half time after delaying a Yeovil throw in as a goalless first forty five minutes drew to a close.
Stuart Gray made a change eight minutes into the second half with Liam Dolman replacing Mark Little who had taken a heavy knock when he was barged into an advertising hoarding in the first half.
Danny Jackman hooked a shot onto the roof of the net from a Hubertz cross, while at the other end Liam Bridcutt fired over the bar after a decent run from Jaime Peters had created the opportunity.
Mark Hughes became the second player to be cautioned when he was shown a yellow card for holding back Owusu, before a drilled cross from Gyepes - who had moved into midfield in a positional reshuffle - eluded a number of onrushing players.
Hubertz headed wide from a Jackman free kick on 66 minutes, while Yeovil's first change saw Simon Church come on for Lloyd Owusu.
The Cobblers introduced Jonathan Hayes for Brett Johnson, while as the substitutions continued Marvin Williams replaced Peters for the home side.
Joe Burnell for Giles Coke was Stuart Gray's final change, but just as there had been in the reverse fixture at Sixfields, there was late heartbreak for the Cobblers as a 92nd minute corner was slammed home into the roof of the net by Terry Skiverton.
