Ian Sampson was delighted with his team's latest away victory, a 1-0 success at Dagenham on Saturday.

"It was a fantastic result," he said.

"We knew it would be a tough game and they threw a lot of balls into our box but we defended very well.

"We had some decent play in the first half but the goal was a move of class and it deserved to win the game. It was an excellent finish.

"When you come under pressure in a game you need your goalkeeper to be strong and Chris Dunn made a special save to keep us ahead.

"I thought the referee did very well and is one of the best we have had this season. I think he got most decisions right and had a good game.

"We have two home games coming up now. We need to try and get some wins at home and help the attendances to keep building at Sixfields.

"The fans behind the goal were tremendous. They were right behind us and they were vocal and we really appreciate their support.

"Bayo got through the 90 minutes and he is fine. Andy Holt has a sore knee and we will have to see how he is ahead of Tuesday. The good thing is we have a decent squad and we have players who can come in if required."
