Ian Sampson reflected on Monday's 0-0 draw at Underhill.
"When Barnet went down to ten men we were disappointed we didn't go on to win the game but we didn't quite get that break in their penalty area," he said.
"Billy McKay and Bayo both had good chances and on another day I'm sure we would have won the game but it just wasn't to be for us today.
"I was pleased that we kept another clean sheet though and I thought Abdul Osman did well having come back into the side.
"I wanted to give John Curtis a rest, I thought his legs were tiring a bit on Saturday and I wanted to make sure that he was fresh for Bournemouth.
"Joe Benjamin was bright and you always know what you are going to get with Joe. He is very direct with the ball and I thought he caused their full-backs one or two problems, especially in the first half.
"He tired a bit in the second half and he was getting involved in one or two skirmishes and had been booked which is why we brought him off.
"Our fans were fantastic again today, we always get a good turn out at Barnet and they gave us great backing.
"Danny Swailes will leave us this week at the end of his loan spell and I have offered Simon Brown a coaching position at the club, which is why Billy Lumley has come in. We are waiting to see if Simon will accept the offer."
