Stuart Gray was left with mixed emotions after Saturday's 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest.

"I was very pleased with our performance and it seems strange to think that we are disappointed to only come away from a massive club like Nottingham Forest with one point," he said.

"I was a bit disappointed with our first half performance, we've been working on counter attacking this week in training but in the first half we were a bit loose and we gave the ball away far too cheaply.

"I said to the players at half-time that we weren't out of the game and that if we kept that belief we could still get something out of the game.

"The next goal was always going to be crucial and once we got it back to 1-1 we really pushed on and every one of the players gave absolutely everything in terms of their effort and commitment to the cause.

"I think in the second half we won every second ball and we really got players forward well and in the end we were just disappointed that we didn't see the game out.

"If you had offered me a point before the game I would have probably snapped your hand off but we were disappointed to concede from a set play so late on and at the end the players in the dressing room were just gutted that we hadn't won the game.

"I thought Poul Hubertz was excellent in the second half, his ball retention was fantastic, sometimes he can get a bit isolated up front but we got players up there supporting him well. He was tiring a lot in the closing stages having given his all and that is why he came off, but he can be very pleased with his performance.

"We didn't think it should have been a corner for their second goal but when you don't think a decision has gone your way you have just got to get on with it. Unfortunately Bradley Johnson was the man marker for Junior Agogo and he'd just gone off injured and unfortunately we've been done by a quality delivery from a set play.

"It looked quite a nasty challenge on Bradley but it looks like its just bad bruising so hopefully he'll be OK. Our squad is getting stretched at the moment, Ryan Gilligan is going to miss the game at Doncaster now and we need everyone fit for the busy Christmas period.

"We've now got to take the positives and the confidence from this game into the game against Bournemouth on Friday night. It is a big game for us on Friday because Bournemouth are one of the teams in and around us, every game is important and the most important thing on Friday is that we get a result.

"The facilities here at Forest are fantastic and you only have to look at what they can do off the field to see how important for us to have a re-developed Sixfields. You look at their bench to see what extra off the field income can do to increase the quality of a squad."
