Stuart Gray felt that his side paid a heavy price for failing to convert their chances in Tuesday's FA Cup defeat at Walsall.

"I just can't believe we've actually ended up losing the game," he said.

"I was certain that the game was going to go into extra time but we could have already been ahead had we taken our chances.

"I think we totally bossed the game, especially in the first half and I just couldn't see Walsall scoring.

"The team is improving but we need to have that little bit more belief in front of goal.

"We created some good chances again but it doesn't matter what level you are playing at you have got to take those chances when they come your way.

"We probably needed to get ourselves in front and Poul Hubertz and Andy Holt should have both scored. Mark Hughes had a great chance at the end as well and he should have taken that.

"We had the much better of the possession but we need to take advantage of that.

"We are very disappointed to be out of the cup but we have to put this game to bed now and move on to Nottingham Forest on Saturday."
