COBBLERS SUFFER NARROW LOSS AT PLAINMOOR

LADIES OUT OF FA CUP

Northampton made the short journey to Milton Keynes for the latest round of the Women's FA Cup with high expectations of moving to the next round after beating MK Dons in the league a few weeks ago.

The game was a good spectacle in very difficult conditions of wind, rain and a heavy pitch. With little between the two sides in the first half, both sides started the second half brightly and within fifteen minutes Northampton broke on MK Dons only to see their effort go wide.

Shortly afterwards the MK Dons took the lead from a corner. Northampton dropped their heads a little and MK Dons took the opportunity to take a two-goal advantage.

Whilst Northampton huffed and puffed trying to get back into the game they ran out of time and were out of the FA Cup for this season.
