CRAIG HINTON
Northampton Town signed defender Craig Hinton on an initial one year deal following his release from Bristol Rovers in the summer of 2009. Hinton began his career as a trainee with Birmingham City before joining Kidderminster Harriers in September 1998. He spent six years at Aggborough, helping the Harriers win the Conference title in 1999/2000. He moved to the Memorial Stadium in summer 2004 and was a key member of the Rovers squad that achieved promotion to League One via the play-offs in the 2006/07 season. Hinton's versatility is one of his main assets and the 6ft defender can play anywhere along the back four. In total he made 187 appearances in his five years with Rovers, 21 of which were as a substitute.
