STEVE GUINAN
Striker Steve Guinan became Northampton Town's first signing of summer 2009 after putting pen to paper on a 2 year contract at Sixfields. The experienced, 33 year old 6ft 1in front man has scored goals throughout his career, and found the net 15 times for the Bulls in 2008/2009 as they were relegated from League One. Guinan began his career as a trainee with Nottingham Forest before various loan periods. After short spells with Cambridge, Plymouth and Shrewsbury he found his feet with a first spell at Edgar Street, bagging 39 goals in 81 appearances. A move to Cheltenham followed, where he scored 17 times in 111 games, before he moved back to Hereford where he found the net 18 times in 62 starts.
