Andy joined the Cobblers under the Bosman ruling after leaving Wrexham in the summer of 2006 and can play either at left-back or on the left hand side of midfield. He joined Wrexham from Hull City in the summer of 2004 and in his first season at the Racecourse Ground he swept the board, collecting every Player of the Year award available at Wrexham. The 6ft 1in Stockport born player began his career at Oldham before making the move to Hull in 2001 for a fee of £150,000. He is a long-throw specialist who has also spent time on loan at both Barnsley and Shrewsbury. Andy signed a new 2 year contract at Sixfields in the summer of 2008.
