ANDY KIRK
Northampton Town signed Boston United hot shot striker Andy Kirk for £125,000 in March 2005. 5ft 10in Kirk is a current Northern Ireland international who arrived at York Street in May 2004 from Scottish Premier League side Hearts. Kirk made a total of 75 starts for Hearts, with a further 59 appearances coming from the substitutes bench, and netted 32 senior goals along the way. While at York Street, Kirk scored a remarkable 20 goals in 29 starts. A number of Championship and League One clubs showed an interest in Kirk, but the Cobblers made their move and secured the striker's signature.
