Fans team football survives on the have a go attitude and commitment of a handful of loyal fans. Last season Chris Marriott, Steve Marley, Ian Errington, Rob Ellam, Tom Robinson and Martin Holmes all clocked up 15 or more appearances and goalkeeper Ben Trasler played 16 matches despite moving to Nottingham last summer. Manager Anthony Collett only missed one game through injury, but made his 80th appearance against Posh. As part of being club organiser, I had to play in all of them to avoid any stick about my commitment!

Top scorer last season was Richard Fletcher who banged in 10 goals including a hat-trick against Orienteers. Fletch just beat Martin Holmes to the golden boot, Holmes weighed in with nine.

Player of the Season
Following a vote at the end of season night out, congratulations go to Martin Holmes (pictured) who is the 2006/07 player of the season. Holmes scored some spectacular goals and was 100% committed to the cause. A close runner up was James Boddington who played on the unwanted left midfield position for most of the season.
