CLARENCE SUPPORTS HEALTHY EATING
More than 30 schools from Northampton have received a Healthy Schools Award at the first ceremony of its kind.
Northamptonshire Teaching PCT held its first awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of schools across the county and their commitment to physical and emotional health policies.
The one-day event took place at the Kings Park Conference Centre in Moulton Park.
Jo Davis, Healthy Schools Coordinator, said: "The schools were here to celebrate and receive their healthy schools status and it's not just for children but for staff and governors as well.
"We've got so many schools on board and others we want to get on board for next year.
"There are four themes to the programme: personal, social and health education; healthy eating; physical activity; emotional health and well being.
"The day was about getting other people to see what good work is going on."
