This year's MGN was won by Wacky Macky Bear, the mascot of Saffron Waldon FC. He narrowly pipped Spike the Road Safety Hedgehog.

There was controversy before the start when The Sun's Squirrel was disqualified when it was discovered that it wasn't the real squirrel. Shamefully the Sun tried to cheat by using a lookalike.

Despite this, Wacky Macky proved to be a worthy winner. He'd better look out though, cos next year I'm going to beat him!!
