Chris Wilder on Worthing v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder speaking ahead of Tuesday night’s pre-season friendly at Worthing.
“We are all working extremely hard to make sure we have a successful season,” he said.
“I’m excited about the group we have put together, we are a couple of bodies light up front and we still need a left centre-half. The trialists that played on Sunday did themselves no harm at all but we still need to have a longer look at them down in Brighton.
“We had a decent group at the end of last season and we’ve added to that with some really good signings.
“The attitude of the players has been first class, the work ethic has been great and I think we’ve got a lot to look forward to.”
Ricky Holmes and Ivan Toney could both make their first appearances of the pre-season in Tuesday's game.
