The Cobblers boss on Stevenage 2 Northampton Town 3
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder felt Saturday’s come from behind victory at Stevenage could be pivotal in the destiny of Northampton Town's season.“This group don’t want to be beaten and that’s a special quality that they have got,” he said.
“We had to dig ourselves out of a hole today and it was a really difficult first 45 minutes but the second half showed why we have put ourselves in a fantastic position to win the league this year.
“We are not getting ahead of ourselves and we know we have still got work to do but this is a big, big day for us.
“Days like today are why you are involved in football and the reaction from everybody at the end was fantastic.
“At 2-0 down our supporters were louder than ever and that speaks volumes about the spirit of this football club.”
