Know an Under 8 to Under 12 side? Let them perform in front of thousands at Sixfields
The Stanair Cup is a half time penalty shoot out competition that gives players from grass roots football teams and primary schools the chance to compete on the biggest stage of their lives. At half time just as the Cobblers players step off the pitch, it’s the turn of the young ones to embrace the hallowed turf of Sixfields as they get to perform in front of thousands of fans, cheering them on.
Teams consist of a goalkeeper and seven penalty takers who shoot alternatively, however more players are welcome to take a friendly penalty. The winners will progress from the first round to the quarter finals and beyond, whilst the unlucky losers still receive a medal each, presented by Cobblers very own Clarence the Dragon. The overall winners will receive a team cup, individual trophies and a fantastic prize.
Last season was a massive success with the introduction of the Under 12’s, and we will be continuing 5 age groups from Under 8’s through to Under 12’s, male as well as female, for 2015/16. We still have spaces in the Under 8's, Under 9's, Under 10's, Under 11's and Under 12's for the coming season.
