SAM HOSKINS SIGNS NEW NORTHAMPTON TOWN CONTRACT

26 February 2016

Striker commits future to the club

Northampton Town striker Sam Hoskins has signed a new two and half year contract with the club.

23 year old Hoskins joined the Cobblers last summer after a successful pre-season trial and has scored seven goals in 16 starts and fifteen substitute appearances.

Hoskins joins Lawson D'Ath and Rod McDonald in signing new Northampton Town contracts in recent weeks.

"Like Lawson and Rod, Sam is a young player who has played a big part this season, he has a lot of potential and we are delighted he has committed to the club for the next two and a half years," said manager Chris Wilder

"Through his performances, his work rate and his desire to succeed are clear to see and he is another player with a superb attitude, and that is important.

"In any squad you need a balance and we have an exciting group of young players who have the potential to develop and grow further with us.

"We are also pleased to get a number of out of contract players tied up early, it is a show of commitment and faith both ways from the club to the player and vice versa and this is more good news for the club."
