Rob Page reflects on Swindon Town 1 Northampton Town 3
Cobblers boss Rob Page was full of praise for both the travelling support and his team as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 3-1 away success at Swindon Town.
“At 1-1 the fans gave us a real lift and it was great to see that tonight,” he said.
“Everybody has put a shift in, defensively we had a plan and I thought the substitutes made a real impact which is what you want.
“We’ve always said you have to be patient with players coming from under-21 football, we know we’ve got a player in Kenji Gorre and he deserved his goal tonight.
“JJ Hooper gave us a presence up top when he came on and that allowed John-Joe to get a bit of space for his goal.
“We showed our intention in the first half and I’m delighted with the performance.
“We are committing more bodies forward in games, I think the first signs were against MK Dons and if you commit more bodies forward you are going to create more chances and score more goals.”
