Rob Page previews Coventry City v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Rob Page has said that all thoughts of the Mancheester United EFL Cup tie have been put to one side and the full focus of the team is on Saturday’s trip to Coventry.
“Our focus now is fully on Coventry on Saturday,” he said.
“It’s important that we take the confidence and momentum from Tuesday night into our league campaign.
“I’m expecting an entertaining game and I know the lads are really looking forward to it.
“Coventry haven’t had the best of starts and I’m sure they will be looking to put that right but it’s about us building on the momentum from Tuesday night.
“It was progression for us on Tuesday and we need to take that confidence and momentum into the league.
“Our bravery to get the ball down and play against a very good West Brom team was there for everybody to see.
“There are aspects of our play in the league campaign that have let us down and we’ve under achieved in. Defensively we’ve been okay but we need to be more clinical in front of goal. We have created chances but not enough.
“I had three good years at Coventry under Micky Adams but business is business at the end of the day and I’ll be desperate to get three points on Saturday.
“We are going there to do a job and we want to get the first league win under our belts.”
